Ece Ataç was born in 2002 in Ankara. In 2009, she took part in the choir directed by Ahter Destan after winning the audition held by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism State Polyphonic Children’s Choir. In 2012, she got admitted to Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory and started her piano studies with Menekşe Akar. There, she completed her secondary and high school education. She continued her undergraduate education at Hacettepe University. Ataç took part in Klaus Sticken's class at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna as an Erasmus student in 2021, and earned the right to continue her education in Vienna.
Ataç performed solo, with chamber music orchestras and as accompanist. She has performed at CSO Ada Ankara, Mozarthaus, Erimtan Archeology and Art Museum, Ayvalık International Music Academy and abroad, Bösendorfer Salon, Vienna Polnisches Institut, Warsaw "Chopin and his Europe". She gave recitals as part of festivals and masterclasses. In December 2018, she performed Saint-Saëns' Animal Carnival under the baton of Barış Demirezer, accompanied by the Hacettepe University Youth Symphony Orchestra. In March 2022, she took part as an orchestra pianist in the concert of the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK) Symphony Orchestra to be broadcast on ORF Vienna Radio. She recorded Turkish composer Ulvi Cemal Erkin’s preludes at the "Transcriptions-Compositions" concert series.
Ataç attended masterclasses of Nikolai Demidenko, Grigory Gruzman, Marylene Mouquet, Victor Rosenbaum, İdil Biret, Gökhan Aybulus, Özgür Ünaldı, Gülnara Aziz, Andrzej Pikul, Marc Pierre Toth, Ewa Kupiec, Min Kwon, Henri Sigfridsson, and Sergio Tiempo. Ataç, who received various awards in international competitions, was awarded the special jury award at the III. International Andrei Stoyanov Piano Competition organized by the Andrei Stoyanov Music Center in Bulgaria in 2014, She received the second prize in the I. International Edelweiss Piano Competition held in Vienna in 2016, and the first prize in the same competition in 2017. In 2022, she was awarded the fourth prize at the London International Music Competition and the second prize in her own category at the Carles & Sofia International Piano Competition. In 2023, she won the right to play in the "Music of the Viennese Modern Dance" concert series at Musikverein.
Ece Ataç continues her undergraduate education in Vienna with Klaus Sticken and performs in Turkey and abroad.
