Born in 2003, Eda Öncül started her music education at the age of 6. She studied at Bilkent University Music Preparation and Elementary School and Bilkent University Music and Performing Arts High School, where she worked with Elif Önal, Başar Can Kıvrak, Yoonie Han and Barno Haknazarova. She is now continuing her studies in Sibelius Academy with Antti Siirala and Jussi Siirala.
She had masterclasses with Stanislav Ioudenitch, Tian Ying, Sofya Gulyak, Enrico Elissi, Boaz Sharon, Stefan Bojstein, Jerome Lowenthal, Mikhail Voskresenskii, Olivier Gardon, Sookkyung Cho, Emre Elivar and Robert Levin. She performed with Orchestra “Le Metamorfosi” di Roma, Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Symphony Orchestra and Bilkent Youth Symphony Orchestra. In 2018, she won the Adnan Saygun Achievement Award.
Some of the competitions she participated in were Mozart Academy 2nd International Piano Competition, Osimo Piano Hours Festival Competition of International Youth Piano Encounters Osimo, 1st Bursa Nilufer International Piano Competition, 12nd International Pera Piano Competition, 10th International Rosario Marciano Piano Competition, 4th International Mozart Competition, Lunigiana International Music Festival Competition and International Adana Rhapsody Piano Competition.
