Akkoyunlu was born in 2004 in Antalya. In 2015, she got admitted to Antalya State Conservatory at Akdeniz University. She was selected for the double bass by the board and started her education in Burak Karcı's class. In 2022, she graduated from Antalya State Conservatory High School in Burak Karcı's class as the second of her class.

In 2017, Akkoyunlu completed Onur Özkaya's masterclass at the International Çeşme Classical Music Festival and Academy, and performed with the Festival Children's orchestra concert under the baton of Mehmet Yasemin. In 2019, she attended Fora Baltacıgil's masterclass at Gümüşlük Classical Music Festival and took part in the closing concert. During the pandemic, she attended Phobe Russell's online masterclasses. She participated in the “Practice-a Thon” studies for young double bass players, created by the International Double Bass Society, founded by Garry Karr. In January 2022, Akkoyunlu attended the online masterclasses of the Double Bass Academy founded by Esra Gül. In June 2022, she participated in the Double Bass Academy Summer practices and gave concerts at the Izmir Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Centre within the Academy Double Bass Orchestra. Starting in September 2021, she worked with Doğuş Children's Symphony Orchestra as the Double Bass Group Chief in Antalya for two years. In April, 2022, she played as the double bass band conductor in the concert of Doğuş Children's Symphony Orchestra with the Antalya Symphony Orchestra. In July and August of 2022, she was accepted to the Bundesjugendorchester (BJO) Germany summer concert tour and performed with the orchestra in two concerts, which were Berlin Konzerthaus and Stolpe An Der Peene. She became one of the three musicians selected for Christine Hoock’s online masterclass organised by the Latin American Double Bass Musicians Society in 2022 and participated actively.

Akkoyunlu started her repertory studies when she decided to study abroad for her undergraduate education. She successfully passed the first stages of all the schools she had applied to and was invited to the second stage, face-to-face instrument and music theory auditions. She was invited by double bass instructor Zsolt Fejévári to study at the Liszt Academy of Music University in Budapest. She received callbacks for the second stage from the Universität der Künste Graz in Austria and the Universität der Künste Berlin in Germany. Akkoyunlu was accepted to the Conservatorium Maastricht and Conservatorium van Amsterdam in the Netherlands. She was accepted to the 5.5-year combined undergraduate-master programme at Sibelius Akademie in Finland. She passed Christine Hoock's double bass audition at the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria. She passed the auditions at Folkwang Universität der Künst in Germany, where she is currently studying with Niek de Groot.
