Ceylan Ölmez was born in 2000 in Istanbul. She started her music studies with piano at the age of 6. She began violin training with Aslı Çivicioğlu at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory. She performed as a soloist with MSGSÜ Young Orchestra and MSGSÜ Istanbul State Conservatory Symphony Orchestra.
She was granted Turkish Education Foundation's Outstanding Achievement Art Scholarship in 2019.
In 2017, 2018 and 2019, Ölmez won the competition for the Turkey Youth Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Cem Mansur and performed in many places abroad, such as Prague’s Dvorak Hall and Smetana Hall, Berlin Konzerthaus, Warsaw Philharmonic, and Verona Teatro Filarmonico in Italy.
During her violin studies, Ölmez participated in the masterclasses by Misha Nodelman, Andrej Bielow, Luke David, Bernhard Hartog, Florence Malgiore, Emilio Percan, Nicolas Dautricourt, Marco Misciagna, Tanja Becker-Bender, Latica Honda-Rosenberg, Lea Hausmann, Önder Baloğlu, and Diego Masutti.
In 2022, she graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Istanbul State Conservatory as the top of her class with honours.
Ölmez is the second violin principal of the Cemal Reşit Rey Young Chamber Orchestra. She is a member of the violin group of the Tekfen Philharmonic Orchestra, the Camerata Saygun Chamber Orchestra, and the Istanbul Chamber Orchestra.
In February 2023, she passed the auditions for her graduate degree at Hochschule für Musik Freiburg. As of the summer term of 2022-23, Ölmez was entitled to continue her education in Freiburg, Germany.
