Born in 1997 in Mersin, Sesim Bezdüz started her music education in the Mersin State Opera and Ballet Children’s Choir, violin with Lili Tchumburidze at the Mersin University State Conservatory. In 2009, she won the first prize in the Llangollen Solo Instrument Competition in UK. After this success she performed with the Samsun State Opera and Ballet Orchestra under the baton of Tolga Taviş in an organization of Contemporary Education Foundation of Turkey. She also participated in the “Fazıl Say and His Friends” concerts. After she was awarded with the second prize in the Gülden Turalı Violin Competition, she performed with the Izmir State Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Ibrahim Yazıcı. She attended masterclasses of Constantin Vardeli in 2008, Natali Boyarsky in 2009, Tuncay Yılmaz and Tedi Papavrami in 2010. She was awarded with the grand prize in the International Harmony Competition held in Antalya.
Sesim Bezdüz is a member of the Doğuş Children’s Symphony Orchestra. Although she qualified to study with Veronique Bogaerts at the Royal Conservatory in Belgium in 2012-2013, she went to the violin class of Ildiko Moog at the Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory. She performed with Mersin State Opera and Ballet Orchestra under the baton of Ibrahim Yazıcı in 2014, with Eskişehir State Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Rengim Gökmen in 2015. She interpreted Bottesini’s Grand Duo with Tuncay İpteş in the IDSO’s Concertante Competition. In the 2015-2016 season, she gave numerous concerts in Belgium, France and Luxembourg. She performed Violin Concerto by Sibelius with the Mersin State Opera and Ballet Orchestra and received the first prize in the Concour Flame and in the Festival Musiq3 held in Brussels with her ensemble.
Sesim Bezdüz currently continues her studies with Veronique Bogaerts and Frédéric d’Ursell at the Royal Conservatory in Belgium within the “Young Talents” project by Contemporary Education Foundation of Turkey, which is financially supported by the Qnb Finansbank since 2017.
