Born in 1994 in Adana, Ezgi Sarıkçıoğlu started violin with Ferhang Hüseynov at the Çukurova University State Conservatory when she was 10. She continued her studies with Sevil Ulucan at the Istanbul University State Conservatory and graduated from there in 2016. During these years she attended masterclasses of Lukas David, Pierre Amoyal, Çiğdem İyicil, Ellen Jewett, Özcan Ulucan, Cihat Aşkın, Şenol Aydın, Hakan Şensoy, Ani Schnarch, Zakhar Bron, Victor Danchenko, Schlomo Mintz, Angel Stankov, Davide Alogna, Gülen Ege Serter, Şeniz Serter Aybulus, Mincho Minchev, Michael Stricharz, Sungsic Yand nd Sonig Tchakerian.
She received numerous first prizes including Music Competition “Sforzando” in Berlin, Internet Music Competiton and We Play Together Competition organized by Slave De Musique Conservatory in Paris; she also received the second prize in the 10th International Independent Music Competition “Individualis”, and a first prize with the Spettro Quartet in the 19th Chamber Music Competition. She played with Cihat Aşkın and Karşıyaka Chamber Orchestra as soloist and gave recitals with pianists Can Okan and Gülnare Şekinskaya. In 2011, she took part in the Bolgar Music Festival in Kazan-Russia. Sarıkçıoğlu currently continues her studies with the supports of Talent Unlimited Foundation and Dr. Nejat Eczacıbaşı Foundation with Itzhak Rashkovski at the Royal College of London and takes part in “Young Talents” project by Contemporary Education Foundation of Turkey, which is financially supported by the Qnb Finansbank since 2017.
