The winner of Opus Klassik award in 2019 and hailed as ‘intensely soulful’ by The New York Times and ‘spellbinding’ by The New Yorker, the clarinettist and composer Kinan Azmeh and CityBand are here in Istanbul for the festival. The concert programme will feature original music by Azmeh who brings together the worlds of jazz, Arabic music and other musical elements, in addition to influences from both of his homes: Damascus and New York.
