Eylül Sümbül was born in 2005 in Istanbul. She started taking piano lessons at the age of 7. In 2017, she started her piano studies with Beril Eren in the part-time music department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Istanbul State Conservatory. In 2019, she got into the full-time piano department at the same school and started her high school education with İris Şentürker.
In July 2020, Sümbül won the second prize in the G category at the “Euplayy” Online Piano Competition for the Youth in Europe held in Munich. In March 2021, she won the third prize in category B at the 3rd Wiener Klassiker Danubia Talents International Music Competition in Hungary. In September 2021, she won the second prize in the C category at the 31st Young Musician International Competition “Citta di Barletta" in Italy. In February 2022, she was awarded the Special Jury Award at the 3rd Adana Rhapsody Piano Competition.
In October 2022, she attended the masterclasses of Fedele Antonicelli and Fernando Vianni, organised by Euplayy. In January 2023, she participated in Joanna Maria Lawrynowicz’s masterclass. She also studied with İbrahim Yazıcı, Özgür Ünaldı, Emre Elivar, and Beril Çalgan.
In November 2022, Sümbül passed the soloist auditions for the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Istanbul State Conservatory Young Orchestra and was earned to right to perform under the baton of conductor Erhan Torlular.
Sümbül continues her studies with İris Şentürker as a 12th grade student at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Istanbul State Conservatory.
