İdil Naz Alıcı was born in 2008. She started her piano education at the age of 4 with her mother. In 2015, she won the Grand Prix in the 5-7 age category at the Istanbul International Young Talents Music Competition. She received her award from the legendary conductor Gürer Aykal. In 2016, she received the second prize in the 1st Bursa Nilüfer International Piano Competition. In the same year, she was accepted into Aylin Çakıcı Uzar’s class at Bursa Uludağ University State Conservatory. In addition to her conservatory class concerts, Alıcı has performed solo and with piano accompaniment in many concerts.

In 2020, she won the competition organised by Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe (YMFE) at Uludağ University State Conservatory. She was invited to the TRT Ankara Radio 3 studios for the live radio show titled “Young People”. She was awarded the first prize with her composition Morning Silence Take 2 (10-12 age category) at the National Child Composers Music Competition organised by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. In 2021, she became the finalist in the International Chopin Piano Competition held in Poland. She won the third prize in the 10-13 age category at the Istanbul First International Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youth. In 2022, she received the first prize in the Orbetello International Piano Competition held in Italy. In 2022, she won the Grand Prix award in the under-17 age category with her composition for flute and piano at the Classic Pure Vienna International Composition Competition in Vienna. She got invited as a guest to the “My Friend Music” show on TRT Radio 3 radio station in Ankara.

After passing the Young Talents Concert auditions at Bursa Regional State Symphony Orchestra in 2020, Alıcı earned the spot to play Bach’s Piano Concerto in F Minor BWV 1056 with the symphony orchestra. However, this concert did not happen due to the pandemic.

In the 2022/23 season, Alıcı performed Haydn’s Piano Concerto no 11, D Major with Bursa Regional State Symphony Orchestra. In July 2022, she worked with Gülsin Onay, Murray McLachlan and Kathryn Page at the Gümüşlük Festival Academy, organised as part of the Gümüşlük Festival, and took the stage. She also had masterclasses with İbrahim Yazıcı, İris Şentürkler and Gülsin Onay at Uludağ University State Conservatory.

Some of Alıcı’s compositions are I Want a Country, Amusement Park and Dream, 10 November Atatürk, Rhapsody in Gümüşlük, River, and April 23. She has many other compositions that have not yet been performed. Her compositions and performances are available on her official website and YouTube channel. Alıcı continues her piano studies with Aylin Çakıcı Uzar at Bursa Uludağ University State Conservatory. In the 2023-2024 academic year, she has passed the musicianship and foreign language requirements to study at the Graz Musikgymnasium Dreihackengasse/Johann-Joseph-Fux-Konservatorium in Graz, Austria, and hopes to continue her studies abroad.
