İpek Sanem Karali was born in 2000 in Istanbul. She started her music education at the age of 7 at the Istanbul University State Conservatory as a part time student. There, she continued her studies with Sibel Kutadgobilig and Süreyya Baraz until the third grade. She started her high school education at Avni Akyol Fine Arts High School and completed her education at Adıgüzel Fine Arts High School. She took part in mid-term and year-end concerts in both schools. After passing the admission tests of Istanbul University State Conservatory and Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Istanbul State Conservatory for her undergraduate education, Karali began her undergraduate studies with Birce Arslan Asman at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Istanbul State Conservatory. She performed a piano recital at Adıgüzel Fine Arts High School during her undergraduate education too. She actively participated in group concerts and class concerts within the university. By attending Alfredo Perl and Paweł Kamiński master classes, Karali had the opportunity to work on Beethoven with Perl, and on Chopin with Kamiński. She prepared a repertoire of works by Schumann, Bach, Ravel, Stravinsky, Chopin, Rachmaninoff and Philip Glass for her graduation recital. After receiving an honorary certificate from her undergraduate studies, Karali got into Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and began her graduate piano programme. Karali also gives correpetition lessons as a lecturer at the institution while continuing her graduate studies. Studying piano with Birce Arslan Asman, Karali aims to take an active role in international masterclasses and concerts to perform solo and chamber music in the near future.
