An award and plaque ceremony will be held before the performance. The 53rd Istanbul Music Festival Honorary Award will be presented to Mesut Iktu.
The 53rd Istanbul Music Festival opens with a magnificent world premiere performed by the Tekfen Philharmonic Orchestra and the National Philharmonic Choir Bulgaria under the baton of star conductor Aziz Shokhakimov. In Earth Loves People One by One, Hasan Uçarsu depicts a more just and balanced life in harmony with nature, while Borodin’s popular Polovtsian Dances offers an impressive synthesis of Eastern and Western music.
