The 48th Istanbul Music Festival hosts the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra in a spectacular concert featuring ‘the new superstar of the classical piano’ (Telegraph) Vikingur Ólafsson, who was named Artist of the Year at the 2019 Gramophone Classical Music Awards. Conducting the concert will be Patrick Hahn, who, at just 24 years of age, has been appointed as the general music director of the Wuppertal Symphony Orchestra from the 2021/22 season, becoming the youngest GMD in Germany.
