A welcome guest at the major festivals throughout France and Europe, the Ensemble Jacques Moderne now makes its Istanbul Music Festival debut with a special programme featuring Domenico Scarlatti: From Naples to Madrid. Conducted by Joël Suhubiette for 20 years, the ensemble explores a wide range of vocal repertoire from the premises of the Renaissance to the late Baroque. The ensemble has also recorded many discs, many of which were primed by the press, including the Le Monde de la Musique, Diapason, Classica, and Répertoire. Performing to wide critical acclaim at the most prestigious concert halls on every tour, the Ensemble Jacques Moderne will pay a tribute to the great composer of religious works, Scarlatti, at the Church of Saint Antoine, a most imposing example of Gothic-Lombard architecture standing in all its glamour for a century in Beyoğlu.
