Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra is the resident orchestra of the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts.

The genius pianist who gets standing ovations at every concert all around the world and a most productive composer of our era, Fazıl Say will premiere his much anticipated work, already promising a tremendous impact, commissioned by the festival on its 40th anniversary. The world premiere of “Mesopotamia” will be given by Turkey’s eminent symphonic ensemble, Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Gürer Aykal.

* Fazıl Say has replaced Beethoven’s 5th Piano Concerto in the programme with the 3rd.
