Musiclovers will enter through the enchanted doors of the Persian and Russian literature with Rimsky-Korsakov’s tales inspired by “One Thousand and One Nights” told by Schéhérazade to Sultan Shahryar, and Glinka’s overture to Ruslan and Lyudmila. Accompanied by Turkey’s “first private, academic, international artistic ensemble,” the Bilkent Symphony under the baton of Işın Metin, youthful, passionate and multi-faceted, Nicola Benedetti will perform Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto at this concert. A classical BRIT awarded young star, known for her ambition to perform new works Benedetti is among the most innovative violonists of Britain. With four critically acclaimed recordings, Benedetti is a unique artist who gives her soul to her instrument thanks to her delicate technique, impressive, graceful and colourful interpretation.
