With an 80-member early music orchestra and a repertoire of festive music played at the grandiose celebrations in 18th century palaces, the closing concert of the Festival will become a magnificent banquet! Classical music’s giant and its first true international composer, Händel’s flawless, vigorous, magnificent and festive works composed for the British Royal Family, which attest his genius, still popular and deeply admired for its passionate musicality, will be performed in İstanbul following Shanghai and the Palace of Versailles as part of Le Concert Spirituel’s tour under the direction of Hervé Niquet. One of the most important baroque interpreters of the world, the ensemble has introduced a matchless style to this repertoire. By turning the closing of the Festival into a breathtakingly magnificent banquet, Le Concert Spirituel under the direction of Hervé Niquet will etch the Music Festival’s name in gold over the İstanbul skyline...
