The proud, mysterious and amorous queens in the works of Purcell and Händel, the first being the father of British music whose oeuvre comprises countless compositions within the span of his 36-year-long life, the latter being the master of baroque music, step into the limelight of history’s stage and speak up for the music lovers, 350 years after Purcell’s birth and 250 years after Händel’s death.
