Tekfen Philharmonic Orchestra is a distinguished ensemble with its innovative repertoire and use of local instruments. Bringing together unique instruments of Eurasia and Middle East, the orchestra sets a great example of music as a universal language shared across different cultures and ethnicities. Saim Akçıl is the chief conductor of the orchestra since its foundation as an ensemble of artists from member countries of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) in 1992. In this concert, Tekfen Philharmonic Orchestra will be performing works by Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov and Shenderer under the baton of Akçıl.
