The opening concert of the 34th International İstanbul Music Festival presents the resident orchestra of İstanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts, the internationally acclaimed Borusan İstanbul Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of guest conductor Joseph Wolfe. An outstanding young British conductor, Wolfe has conducted major orchestras in Britain in the past two years. Wolfe is at the same time a highly successful violinist.

Borusan İstanbul Philharmonic Orchestra is the resident orchestra of the İstanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts.

The reception will be held at the Courtyard of the Archaeological Museum.
