At this festival recital, violinist Barennie Moon and pianist Ece Demirci will be playing a selection of sonatas for piano and violin by W. A. Mozart. Barennie Moon, who came straight back to Europe after studying violin at the Juilliard School, has since performed with the Paris Bastille Orchestra, the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra and the Sofia Radio Symphony Orchestra. She also has several CD recordings to her name. For her part, Ece Demirci studied at Mimar Sinan University before winning scholarships to train first at the Hannover College of Music and latterly the Mozarteum Music Academy. Most recently, Demirci performed a series of critically acclaimed concerts with the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra in Bucharest. Building on their success at home to become accomplished academics and virtuosos at the international level, the two musicians will be performing Mozart’s Sonatas KV 304, KV 378, KV 454 and KV 301.
