Yağmur Sena Üner, born in Istanbul in 2006, began her musical career at the age of four with piano lessons from İpek Çığ Çevikkaya. While in the 4th grade of primary school, she was accepted into the Part-Time Piano Department of Istanbul University State Conservatory and studied piano there for one year.

After primary school, Üner was admitted to the full-time French horn department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory. She graduated from high school as a student of Assoc. Prof. Begüm Gökmen. She then successfully passed all the entrance exams and earned the right to study at the University of Music and Theatre “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” Leipzig. She is currently continuing her education under Prof. Thomas Hauschild.

During her conservatory education, Üner participated in numerous masterclasses. These include Jacgues Deleplancque in March 2017 organised by MSGSÜ, Assoc. Prof. Begüm Gökmen in December 2017 at the Science and Art Mansion, Prof. Mahir Kalmik at Mainz University in March 2018, Prof. Mahir Kalmik at Boğaziçi Art Academy in July 2018, Cem Akçora and Güloya Altay at Bilkent Brassfest’18 in September 2018, Assoc. Prof. Begüm Gökmen in February 2019 at the Science and Art Mansion, Rene Pagen and Rik Vercruysse at IBBA (International Belgium Brass Academy) in April 2019, Prof. Mahir Kalmik and Cenk Şahin at Boğaziçi Art Academy in July 2019, Radovan Vlatkovic at UMA (Urla Music Academy) in September 2019, Christian Lampert, Ivo Dudler and Jan Golebiowski at Hornfestival Carnavalducor Weißenhorn in February 2023, Sibylle Mahni in December 2023, and Mahir Kalmik in March 2024.

To date, Üner has taken part in the following concerts: ‘The Magical World of the Horn’ concert (solo) at Kadıköy Youth and Art Center in May 2017, Gedik University Autism Awareness Event Concert (solo) in April 2018, Açı Art and Music School Year-End Concert (solo) in June 2018, MSGSÜ Middle School Horn Department Year-End Concert (solo) at Kadıköy Youth and Art Centre in June 2018, Bilkent Brassfest’18 Closing Concert in September 2018, IBBA (International Belgium Brass Academy) Brass Festival Closing Concert in April 2019, and Golden Horn Quartet Concert at 37 Art Centre.

In addition to these concerts, Üner also performed in the Hisar Education Foundation 50th Anniversary Special Concert – Youth Orchestra Film Music in March 2020, İBB Academy Festival in September 2021, MSGSÜ Symphony Orchestra in December 2021, Horn Quartet performance as part of the Panorama 1453 History Museum Events in January 2022, MSGSÜ Spring Concert in May 2022, Ataşehir Municipality Youth Symphony Orchestra in August 2022, Mohnheim am Rhein Gymnasium and Ataşehir Municipality Youth Symphony Orchestra at the German Consulate in September 2022, solo performance in Bayreuth in October 2022, MSGSÜ Young Orchestra Concert in November 2022, All Saints Moda Church Concert in December 2022, Carnavalducor Closing Concert in February 2023, MSGSÜ Young Orchestra Concert in April 2023, Horn Class Concert at All Saints Moda Church and Contemporary Life Youth Orchestra Concert in May 2023, Republic Ball Concert in October 2023, Prof. Thomas Hauschild’s Class Concert in November 2024, Tromba Trombonissima Brass Ensemble Concert in December 2024, and Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy School Orchestra Concert in January 2025.

In December 2018, Üner won the Young Talents auditions of the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Symphony Orchestra and performed as a soloist with the orchestra on 19 April 2019. She also took the stage in the musical Fosforlu Cevriye by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Theatre. Additionally, Yağmur Sena Üner performed in the 100th Anniversary Special Oratorio by Fahir Atakoğlu and in the Istanbul City Theatres’ special musicals for the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye.
