Nisan Dikeçligil began her musical education at the age of ten upon admission to the Horn Department of the Istanbul State Conservatory at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University (MSGSÜ). She completed both her middle school and high school education at this institution, spending her final year of secondary education. at Musikskolan Lilla Akademien in Stockholm.

Throughout her education, she has performed as an instrumentalist in numerous orchestras and chamber music ensembles. In 2021, she appeared with the Turkish National Youth Philharmonic Orchestra (TUGFO). In 2022, she was admitted to the Composition Department at MSGSÜ Istanbul State Conservatory, and in 2023 she was also accepted into the Music Theory programme, pursuing a double major. As a performer, she took part in the 14th Journey of Sound Festival on horn and performed in the premiere of Adil Köprülü’s work ‘Kendini Gören Ayna’. In the 15th Journey of Sound Festival, she participated as a composer and premiered her piano work ‘Variations on a Schumann Theme’. She was selected as one of eight composers for the 15th Boğaziçi (Bilgi) New Music Festival, where her composition ‘Slippery Slope’ was premiered by the Diskant Ensemble. In 2025, her work ‘100262’ was performed by the Pulse Ensemble at the Arter Sevgi Gönül Auditorium.

Internationally, Dikeçligil was the only composer selected from her institution for the Erasmus BIP Project in Italy, where her electro-acoustic piece “Risonanze di Legno” received its world premiere at the Sonic Explorations event.

In the field of music theory, she has given seminars on Burmeister’s rhetorical figures, Anton Reicha’s theoretical approaches, the twelve-tone system, and women composers, and has participated in a research project on Byzantine music.

She is a founding member of the Istanbul Youth Orchestra and has been working as a professional performer with the City Theatres Orchestra since 2024. She continues her double major studies in Composition with Professor Hasan Uçarsu and in Music Theory with Associate Professor Ali Yunus Gencer at MSGSÜ.
