Oboist Nehir Göndermez, born in Ankara in 2004, began her musical education in 2015 at the Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory, where she continued her oboe studies with Meral Vural Leblebicioğlu.

In 2019, she participated in a masterclass with Albrecht Mayer in Germany, and in the same year won first prize at the Caspi Art International Music Competition. Since 2015, she has regularly appeared in solo and chamber music concerts.

She gave her first solo recital on 28 April 2022 with the Hacettepe Youth Symphony Orchestra conducted by Burak Tüzün. In the same year, she attended a masterclass with Professor Gregor Witt and worked with her chamber music ensemble in a Baroque music masterclass led by Jan Nigges.

In 2023, she successfully passed the entrance examination to the Barenboim-Said Akademie in Berlin and continued her studies with Professor Gregor Witt and Emmanuel Danann. During this period, she has been a regular performer in orchestral, chamber music and solo concerts at the academy, and has appeared at Piano Salon Christophori and the Kuhlhaus Momentum Festival.

Between 2023 and 2025, she participated in masterclasses with Jörg Widmann, Jean-Christophe Spinosi and Daniel Barenboim. During her studies in Türkiye, she performed chamber music concerts with the oboe ensemble as part of events organised by the Sevda-Cenap And Music Foundation. She has been invited as a member of the LFC Orchestra to take part in the festival in August 2026.

Göndermez has performed with the Barenboim-Said Akademie Orchestra, Akademie für Alte Musik, Berlin Opera Academy, Neue Philharmonie, Hacettepe Youth Symphony Orchestra, Hacettepe University Academy Orchestra, Bilkent Youth Symphony Orchestra, Bilkent Symphony Orchestra, Presidential Symphony Orchestra and Ankara Youth Symphony Orchestra. She has collaborated with numerous conductors, including Daniel Barenboim, Nabil Shehata, Emmanuel Pahud, Stefan de Leval Jezierski, Burak Tüzün, Naci Özgüç, Rengim Gökmen, Vladimir Ponkin, Orhun Orhon, Sunay Muratov, Işın Metin, Domonkos Héja, Pierre Bleuse, Rustam Rahmedov and Kemal Günüç.
