Naz İrem Türkmen was born in 2006 in Istanbul. She takes part in the “Young Musicians on World Stages Programme” which was founded by Güher ve Süher Pekinel.

Naz İrem Türkmen started studying the violin at Istanbul University State Conservatory under Aslı Erdal. She continues her studies with Sonja Korkeala at Munich University of Music and Performing Arts, and with Aslı Erdal at Istanbul University State Conservatory. She studied with Muhammedjan Turdiev, Ceyda Ergin and Dania Kainova. She attended masterclasses of pedagogues such as Dora Schwarzberg, Kirill Troussov, Itzhak Rashovsky, Nora Chastain, Ellen Jewett. Türkmen has been voluntarily giving violin classes to students in need online every week in Boston since 2021. She has been teaching violin at Notre Ecole de Musique in Chicago since 2022.

As a social responsibility project in the 2022/23 season, together with her pianist friend Arya Su Gülenç, Türkmen aims to create a music class in Fahriye Sayarel School in Nilüfer/Akçalar Village with the income of the concerts in Bursa, Istanbul, Ankara and İzmir. The first concert of the project was held on January 11, 2023 at the Bursa/Nilüfer Musical Instruments Museum.

Türkmen performed at the reception in Chicago on October 27, 2022, on the occasion of the 99th anniversary of the establishment of the Turkish Republic. In the 2023 season, she received invitations from Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra, Eskişehir Symphony Orchestra and Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra to give an accompanied solo concert. She performed as a soloist accompanied by an orchestra at the Stars and Rising Stars Festival in Munich in May 2023. She had a recital at Süreyya Opera House in February 2023. She plans to perform at the AIMA Festival in Ayvalık.

Naz İrem Türkmen won the first prize at the 12th Grumiaux International Violin Competition held in Brussels in 2019, the Prix d'excellence award at the 2nd Ilona Feher International Violin Competition held in Hungary in 2018, Junior Category Grand Prize and Special Prize for Exceptional Artists Personality Award (under the age of 17) at the Odessa International Violin Competition held in Ukraine in 2018 , the “Absolute” 1st prize at the 8th International Musican Fireworks in Baden-Württemberg competition, the 1st prize in the 5th International “Sheirs of Orpheues” Music Competition held in Bulgaria in 2017, the Best Baroque Sonata Interpretation Award 2016 in the Anton Rubinstein violin competition held in Germany in 2017, the “Individualist 1st prize” at the 14th International Independent Music Contest held in Ukraine in 2016, the 1st prize in Salzburg “Grand Prize Virtuose” contest held in Austria in 2016, and the 1st prize in “International Internet Music Competition” organised by Music Pedagogues in Serbia in 2016.

Her concerts as a soloist include Turkish Stars Symphony Orchestra under Hakan Şensoy in 2022, Turkey Hand in Hand Music Symphony Orchestra under Nil Venditti in 2021, Turkey Borusan Philharmonic Orchestra under Gürer Aykal in 2020, Turkey Cemal Reşit Rey Orchestra under Cem Mansur in 2020, İzmir Symphony Orchestra under Nesrin Bayramoğlu in 2018, Turkey Eskişehir Symphony Orchestra in 2018, Istanbul Opera and Ballet Orchestra under Zdravko Lazarov in 2018, and Turkey Kopuz Chamber Orchestra under Şekip Ensari in 2019.
