Lidya İpek Keskin, born in İzmir in 2009, began her harp studies in 2018 at Dokuz Eylül University State Conservatory under Şirin Pancaroğlu. She later continued her education with Cansu Çine and Gözde Ece Yavaş Öztürk.
She has performed in numerous recitals, including class concerts organised by Dokuz Eylül University and Anadolu University State Conservatories, as well as events held at DEU State Conservatory, İzmir Culture and Art Factory, İKSEV, and İş Sanat’s “Shining Stars” concert series.
Keskin has given chamber music and solo concerts at the Detmold University of Music (Detmold Hochschule für Musik) and Detmold Summer Theater (Detmolder Sommertheater). She collaborated with the Olten Art Youth Orchestra and participated in its New Year concert on 14 December 2022. On 18 May 2023, she performed in the “Gençler Sahne Sizin” event held at AASSM. After being selected as a Young Soloist by DEÜ State Conservatory, she performed as a soloist with the DEÜ Symphony Orchestra at the Sabancı Culture Palace in April 2024.
In 2022, Keskin was awarded first prize in both the Young Artist II and Stars of Romantic Music categories at the 5th Universal Stars Music Competition. In April 2022, she won a Silver Medal at the 6th International Slovenia Harp Competition. As part of İş Sanat’s “Shining Stars” series, she received the Meriç Soylu Second Prize.
In 2023, she won first place in Category D of the Royal Mass International Online Music Competition. Her achievements have been featured in issues 196, 200, and 205 of Andante magazine, as well as in the 2024 publication of the World Harp Congress (WHC). Keskin was selected on a full scholarship to attend the Detmold Summer Academy, held at the Detmold University of Music from July 13 to 21, 2024. In addition to harp and chamber music lessons, she participated in courses on improvisation, stage confidence, and mental practice. She passed the auditions for the online Focus on Youth event of the World Harp Congress and participated in the 2nd Ceren Necipoğlu Harp Festival, held from 15-19 January 2025.
Throughout her career, Keskin has attended masterclasses by Merve Kocabeyler, Şirin Pancaroğlu, Meriç Dönük, Çağatay Akyol, Engin Kansu, Anastasia Razalyayeva, Imogen Barford, Anne-Sophie Bertrand, Florence Sitruk, Anneleen Lenaerts, Joel von Lerber, Godelieve Schrama, Helene Schütz, and Fattaneh Shahin. She has also participated in orchestral masterclasses by Sioned Williams. During the “Klasik Keyifler” project’s masterclasses on 7-8 September 2023, she studied with Çağatay Akyol and performed in the concluding concert.
Lidya İpek Keskin is currently continuing her education as an 11th-grade student in the Harp Department of DEÜ State Conservatory, studying under Lecturer Gözde Ece Yavaş Öztürk.
