Born in 2004, Duru Erdoğan began playing the piano at the age of six. She started her musical education at the Bilkent University Music Preparatory School under the guidance of Gamze Kırtıl.

In 2017, Duru Erdoğan performed as a soloist with the İzmir State Symphony Orchestra. In September 2017, she was awarded a scholarship to the The Yehudi Menuhin School in London, where she studied with Prof. Marcel Baudet. In May 2018 and 2022, she was selected for a tour of Scotland, performing both as a soloist and accompanist in venues including Blair Atholl, New Lanark, and Edinburgh.

Erdoğan has appeared numerous times at The Menuhin Hall and has performed in the Netherlands.. In 2018, she was invited to the PianoDuo Festival in Amsterdam. More recently, she has performed at Kings Place in London and at the Schumannfest at the Tonhalle Düsseldorf.

Throughout her studies, Erdoğan has taken part in masterclasses with many distinguished musicians, including Claudio Martinez Mehner, Piotr Anderszewski, Olga Pashchenko, and Edith Fischer. In 2025, she performed as a soloist with the Kölner Kammerorchester.

Her awards include being a category finalist in the BBC Young Musician competition, first prize and the title of ‘Young Pianist of the North’ at the Young Pianist of the North International Competition, as well as prizes from the Franz Liszt Center Competition, Spotlight International Competition, and London Classical Music Competition. She also received second prize at the Beecham Piano Competition and an encouragement award as the youngest participant at the Arte Piano Competition. Erdoğan was a recipient of the Hattori Foundation Junior Award in both 2021 and 2023.

In 2023, she participated in the ten-day Chamber Lab Montecastelli Academy, focusing on chamber music and performance. She continues her activities as a scholarship holder of the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein, taking part in Intensive Music Weeks and other programmes.

In February 2025, Duru won second prize at the International Robert Schumann Competition in Düsseldorf, and in July 2025 she participated in the Encuentro de Música y Academia de Santander. She has also been selected as a laureate of the Fondation Gautier Capuçon programme, which supports promising young musicians across Europe.
