Born in Mersin in 2010, Deniz Işık began her musical education at Mersin University State Conservatory under the tutelage of Assoc. Prof. Mehmet Özkanoğlu.

Over the years, she has worked with world-renowned guitarists such as Lorenzo Micheli, Carlo Marchione, Oman Kaminsky, Ricardo Moyano, Cristina Galietto, Kağan Korad and Cem Çeliksırt, and has performed in numerous concerts both in Turkey and abroad. In 2022, she gave a performance in Neustadt an der Weinstraße, Germany. In 2023, she appeared as a soloist at some of Turkey’s most prominent guitar festivals, including the 16th METU Classical Guitar Festival and the 15th Bilkent Guitar Meeting.

Her achievements in national and international competitions play a significant role in her musical journey. In 2022, she was awarded first prize in her age category at the 1st Ankara International Guitar Festival, followed in 2023 by another first prize at the 20th Altamira Gorizia International Classical Guitar Competition in Italy.

In 2024, Işık was awarded second prize at the Rust Alirio Diaz International Classical Guitar Competition in Austria. That same year, she won first prize in the guitar category at the Classical Stars International Music Competition in Poland and was honoured with the title of Absolute Winner. Also in 2024, she received first prize at the Albania International Guitar Competition, where she achieved the highest overall score in the entire competition with 98 out of 100.

At the beginning of 2025, she was awarded first prize in the guitar category at the Nouvelles Étoiles Music Competition in France, earning her an invitation to perform as a soloist with orchestra in a concert in France. These accolades have firmly established her artistic talent and technical mastery on an international level.

Since the 2021 academic year, Işık has continued her studies with Assoc. Prof. Mehmet Özkanoğlu at Mersin University State Conservatory, actively participating in significant classical guitar projects. Her goal is to further develop his musical career and to appear on international stages.
