Born in Istanbul in 2010, Carmen Dilara Bağış began her formal education at the age of six, entering directly into the third grade. At the age of eight, she commenced part-time piano studies at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Istanbul State Conservatory, continuing as a full-time student from 2019.

Between March 2021 and April 2024, she worked regularly with Prof. Christian Wilm Müller, a faculty member at the Franz Liszt University of Music in Weimar. Since September 2023, she has been continuing her 11th grade studies at Musica Mundi School in Belgium, under the guidance of Prof. Jacques Rouvier and Hagit Hassid Kerbel.

Bağış’s notable achievements to date include first prize at the International Città di Massa Music Competition in Italy in April 2023, third prize at the International Juliusz Zarębski Competition in Poland in December 2022, and second prize along with the Best Mozart Performance Award at the WPTA Spain International Piano Competition. She was also awarded second prize at the International Medici Music Competition in the United Kingdom in July 2022, and first prize at the 9th International Città di San Donà di Piave Piano Competition in Italy.

Prior to these achievements, Carmen Dilara Bağış had already distinguished herself with numerous awards. She won first prize at the International Great Masters Piano Competition (2022, Spain), first prize at the 10th International Città di Massa Piano Competition (2022, Italy), and second prize at the 8th International “Young Euregio Piano Award” (2022, Germany). In 2021, she was awarded first prize at the 4th International “Music of the World” Piano Competition (Israel), the 8th International Città di San Donà di Piave Piano Competition (Italy), and a Gold Medal at the International Karl Adler Online Music Competition (Germany). That same year, she also received second prize at the Orbetello Piano Competition (Italy), first prize at the IMKA Music Competition (Bosnia and Herzegovina), and second prize at the Franz Liszt Center Piano Competition (Spain). In 2020, Bağış achieved second prize at the 2nd Rhapsody International Online Piano Competition (Adana, Turkey), the 5th Danubia International Online Piano Competition (Hungary), the Piano Talents Competition (Italy), and first prize at the Oeiras Piano Competition (Portugal), as well as second prize at that year’s IMKA Music Competition (Bosnia and Herzegovina).

She participated in masterclasses with Gülsin Onay in June 2019, with Dr Zsuzsanna Csaszar in February 2020. On 29 October 2022, she gave a short recital in celebration of Republic Day at the Sedad Hakkı Eldem Auditorium. This was followed by solo recitals in 2022 and 2023 at the Istanbul Museum of Painting and Sculpture, KMK Sanat, and All Saints Moda Church.
