Ravel’s flamboyant yet noble Piano Concerto for Left Hand, which he had written for his pianist friend Paul Wittgenstein, and Beethoven’s Symphony No.3, which depicts heroism for its tragedy as much as its victory, will make a musical feast. At this concert, the Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin under the baton of Sir Roger Norrington will accompany the piano virtuoso Hüseyin Sermet.
