Istanbul Music Festival honors Gidon Kremer

An incessant contributor to the development of the contemporary music repertory thanks to the works he commissioned to living composers, Gidon Kremer has honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award of this year's Istanbul Music Festival on June 10, Friday at the historic Hagia Eirene Museum.

Following the ceremony, Kremer presented a concert dedicated to Glenn Gould and J.S. Bach with his chamber music orchestra, Kremerata Baltica, in which they performed the “Bach Transcriptions” series.
